Parker Knoll celebrated its 150th anniversary with the introduction of Collection 150.
Drawing on the recently restored Frederick Parker archive, Collection 150 has been inspired by the 1920s and 1930s. It combines Art Deco influences with a contemporary aesthetic (which is very on trend right now) with two new sofa collections: Hoxton and Wycombe, alongside complementary chairs, Shoreditch and Fitzroy.
Collection 150 has been designed to celebrate Parker Knoll’s heritage and its commitment to developing high quality, skilled design, elegant proportions and supreme comfort in their sofas and chairs. All handmade in Britain too!
While at the Parker Knoll 150th party at the NEC this year we had the pleasure of chatting to the Design Director Tom White and some of his team of Graduate Designers. Not only were they all lovely people, but you could tell how committed and passionate they are about continuing pushing the brand forward in terms of design.
For the 150 Collection Parker Knoll have introduced a brand new fabric range to really bring the collection to life. Working with the specialist mills, they have commissioned and developed a refined colour palette, including contemporary plain weaves and cotton velvets to provide a beautiful textural experience. The collection is enhanced with accent fabrics which further encapsulate the Art Deco period.
